President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, extended warm greetings to all fellow citizens on the occasion of the New Year 2026, which, according to the Eastern calendar, is the Year of the Horse. In his address, he highlighted the achievements of the outgoing year 2025, including the successful implementation of major programmes in the economy, education, healthcare, culture, and sports, significant infrastructure projects, as well as Turkmenistan’s recognition on the international stage, including the adoption of key UN resolutions.

The Head of State emphasised that 2026 has been declared the “Year of Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” and called on all citizens to work for the prosperity of the Fatherland, continuing to strengthen its development and international standing. The President wished the people good health, happiness, and well-being in their families, expressing hope that the coming year would bring abundance, joy, and new achievements.
