In Turkmenabat, Uzbek Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ravshanbek Alimov met with the hyakim of Lebap velayat, Durdy Genjiev  to discuss the development of cross-border trade.

The parties reviewed plans for the Alat–Farap trade zone between Bukhara Region and Lebap, expected to boost trade volumes and improve living standards in the border areas. Preparations have also begun for the third Regional Forum and a series of business meetings in Bukhara and Turkmenabat. 

The sides also highlighted plans to expand industrial cooperation with the Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions under the November 2025 agreements.
