The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has expressed its profound condolences to the Swiss side in connection with the tragic fire at the Crans-Montana ski resort. The statement of the foreign policy agency conveys sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured.

According to international media reports, the fire broke out on New Year’s Eve in a bar at the popular Alpine resort. Data from the Valais cantonal police indicate that around 40 people were killed and a further 115 sustained serious injuries as a result of the tragedy.
